Read/Unread? Am I just having cookie issues?

I'm just wondering if there's some problem in my cookie settings, since threads that I haven't ever opened are showing up as "read", and this is happenning with topics too. Surely it's supposed to have the "new messages" icon until I've read it, and then change into the "no new messages" icon?

Other than that, love the new forums - tres cool looking.

I seem to have the opposite problem - posts I have read are still showing as new. A bit of a problem when I am trying to catch up on all the latest posts!!
