Dr Bott cassette adaptor

It seems that after about half an hour of listening to my iPod in my car via a Dr Bott cassette adaptor I get a squeeking sound through my take deck.

Anyone else had this problem??

if so, what can be done.

Do I have to send it back and get another one??
