I've never been one for buying singles. I just couldn't be bothered with the fact that it lasted 3? minutes and then you have to change it!

Now I have an iPod, I'm considering buying singles (can't download as iTunes not launched here yet) coz I can just rip them onto my iPod and they're there at a scroll.

Anyone else feel the same?

I have! But only to get rare b-sides, live versions etc. or from charidy shops. Last week I got three for a pound in Bognor Regis!

ehhh...there are plenty of "free alternatives". Singles are overpriced

I've avoided the iTMS. I fear how much money I could spend there. I go to a couple local used CD stores and browse their shelves.

Yes, my iPod has nullified my prior dislike of single CDs. I buy them if they have what I want.

Definitely. Like IoGon, I haven't bought a single since vinyl and seldom even back then. Itunes is just too easy not to buy them.

I defintely don't buy any singles...I think they are a waste of money. For just a handful of dollars more, you can get the whole CD. However, i don't like purchasing whole CDs because I don't like half of the songs on them. I just purchase "singles" off of the iTMS. Hopefully they will be launching that where you are soon!

When I say I haven't bought a single I mean a single in physical form, cassette and CD singles were always too expensive. I might ahve picked up a mini disk single once but only in my excitement at a new piece of kit which became redundant very quickly.

I would buy individual songs by the bucket load if iTunes ever opened in the UK. It would be like a kid in a candy store.

nowadays i find that cd's in the UK i don't know about the states are almost as expensive as albums when bought from somewhere like play.com or cdwow, so if i like a song i buy the album.
