Where did my songs go?

I just ported all of music into my iPod. I got a new hard drive for my PC and reinstalled Windows and the iPod software on the iPod. After I re-installed iTunes to look at the existing songs, all of my MP3s are gone. The iPod is empty. I manually checked the iPod and, sure enough, no songs to be found. However, iTunes shows that there are 20 gigs being used, and about 15 empty. That's how much space was used when the songs were there. Any suggestions?

I don't know why iTunes is reading the space incorrectly, but it sounds like you connected your iPod to your pc, and iTunes auto updated nothingness.

Try upgrading the software for the iPod, if that doesn't work... i guess you have to reset it. :(
