PLEASE READ - Getting an Ipod Very soon!!!1

Well i been Drooling over an IPod for months now and hopefully i should have the cash to by one very soon. But lately as i have talked about IPods I have heard quite a few problems with them. Is it true that after 3 years you need a new battery and it costs ?78 for a new one?

Could anyone who knows anything reply to this topic.
