Important question concerning itunes

I deleted all of the songs on my computer, and now they are just in my ipod. I didn't notice, but now all of the songs in my library in my itunes are gone. If i connect my ipod, will it erase all of the songs on my pod?

I don't know what to do, I would greatly appreciate some advice.

Yes it will. Do not connect without like disabling iTunes or something. You can't delete the tunes off computer when Auto Sync is on!!! You need to use manual to get the songs only on iPod... or else it will auto sync and delete all your music..
