So I got my iPod fixed and want to transfer some songs, about 1/4 trough the transfer Windows reboots, and when it starts again iTunes won't regognize the iPod, and if I go into 'My Computer' and press the iPod drive the computer freezes and the only thing working there is a ctrl+alt+delete. I have tried menu+play-hold, draining the battery. Since my computer won't regognize the iPod I haven't even been able to restore it. I'm running Windows2000. I think the harddrive might be broken, but I'm not sure, i AM able to "use" the iPod (play games), would I be able to do that if it were broken?
-im sorry if the question is a little vague, but any help is apprieciated!

I'm not clear as to what you did with the menu+play-hold action that you say drained your battery. Were you trying to reset the iPod? If so, I don't know why that would drain your battery.

To reset your iPod, press the menu and play/pause buttons at the same time and hold them down for a couple seconds, the iPod will reset. Try connecting it to your PC after that and see what happens.

I've tried reseting AND draining the battery (that solved my problem last time). I've tried reseting my iPod several times without it solving the problem. Any thougts?

Come on! Should I send it in for service or do anybody have a solution?
