I have recently had to re-install the Ipod software after a hacker attack. Everything worked for a short while, then Itunes quit seeing Ipod or CDs. When I plug the Ipod in, it charges through the firewire and Windows (XP) is able to see it. I occationally get a message that some of the software is not installed and Ipod needs to be re-installed which I have done several times. When I put a CD in, Windows Media is able to see it but not I tunes.
I have looked in the device manager and cannot find an exact match. Ipod shows to be: IEEE1394 SBP2 Device. The closest I can find in device manager is IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers/ Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant / IEEE 1394 Host Controller.
Any Ideas?
