ok, so i go to my local best buy around the beginning of march to buy an ipod. But what do i see, these little colored ipods, that are so very small. I can't help but bring one home with me. And what a great 4 weeks it was.

But then the infamous static problem struck.

Now I'm stuck with no ipod, and 500+ songs on iTunes. I'm now deciding wherther to buy a 15GB ipod ( i found it on the web for only $284). If i do, will my songs stay intact on the new ipod, i downloaded iTunes from the CD that came with the mini.

Thank you in advance.

Why don't you bring it back to Apple???? They'll give you a new one. If you get a new iPod, you can have it sync to be exactly the same as your mini.

Your songs will be fine. iTunes and the iPods are independent, though they work together. Songs you ripped in iTunes will transfer to the new iPod. Nothing to worry about.
