I have an iSkin EXO2 (without the button coverings like Lajo's). Even though the buttons are recessed a bit from the origional EXO, I still have major issues getting the buttons to work right. Sometimes they work ok, but consistently they don't and I have to lift the case up a bit and slide my finger under the case. It's a pain to be honest. Without the case the buttons register every single time. I've cleaned the case and iPod and nothing changes. Would I be better off with a Lajo EXO2 or EXO3? I love the case, but if I can't use the buttons it's not worth it. The scroll wheel works great - but nothing else :( Any ideas??

ive got the exo2, with covered buttons. its driving me crazy!! i just cut holes in the buttons last night to see if it helps, and now im having your problem.. wish i woulda known!
i think the exo3 is super thin.. im wondering if its any better.. im not really looking for fall protection, just scratch. i casn always use another case if thats a concern..

I'm glad someone else is having the same issue! I'm not crazy then. It's almost like if your finger touches the rubber at the same time you press the button, it doesn't work as well. I'm not sure if that's true for SURE, but it SEEMS like it. It's frustrating. It's a great case - well made, but if you can't get the buttons working every time (as like when the case is off), it isn't worth it. I was thinking of trying the EXO 3 myself. Shock protection - well, I personally believe that if the iPod is dropped it isn't going to make a HUGE difference if the rubber is 1.2 mm or 0.7 - it might help a little, but it could still jolt the platters inside. I prefer a thicker case like the EXO 2 personally, but the buttons - arrrrgggg! :)
