A warning about Lajo exo3 asphalt

I just got my Lajo exo3 case in asphalt colour and much to my surprise it WASN'T the same as the one pictured on the website. On the site there is a picture of a black case, whereas this is clearly brown. I am quite disappointed at this because it's honestly not very attractive.

This is just a FYI for those contemplating getting it. I'd recommend a different colour because this one doesn't really suit the 'chic' look of the iPod.

I got my asphault skin last week and was disappointed as well. The problem is that the skin is so thin. So the white shows through making the skin not a true black. I don't know if mine actually looked brown though. I need to look at it again. I have frogger on mine right now. The asphault is at home. If anyone wants it, let me know and I will send it to them. Seriously.

I have to warn you, though. It seems to not fit quite right as well. It buckles in a few places. Maybe I just didn't have it on quite right. It seemed to stretch out while i put it on the ipod and not stretch back into place. The frogger color I have now works great. But the asphault was definitely a disappointment.

Mine does fit okay, and it also fits with the iShade (whether or not it's supposed to I don't know). Because of this I'm thinking of getting another one, possibly the indigo one - because I guess that can be either indigo or pale indigo, both of which are fine.

In addition to the poor colour, it would be better if the scroll-wheel area wasn't so sticky...

Yes, thanks for posting this info. I was going to order this color in either the exo3 or the flip version but now I think I'll stick to snow. In the pics on Lajo's website it looks solid dark black except for around the wheel & buttons which would be normal considering the thin material. And the red lights on the buttons look cool showing through the skin but the shade of black really turns me off after seeing these 'real life' pics.

i like the GLO exo's i have the electra color, I also like the black & jade pearl, i was never empressed with the asphalt.
I hope Lajo decides to make an exo3 or exoflp in those colors, i want to buy one.

If you want my opinion get sonx for eXo3, it looks amazing, sort of translucant blue but its a really bright colour, sort of like Sonic.

Got my eXo3 [Asphalt] last evening. Waste of money. It would obviously be useful for minor scratch protection and elimination of fingerprints on the actual pod. Animal hair/dust sticks to it. Depending on the color you get, I guess, you get fingerprints on the case. The asphalt makes the naturally beautiful iPod look particularly ugly. The ishades are barely held inplace. Pain-in-the a** to get on. I also ordered the MacClear Accessory case. Another waste of money...too small. Ordered everything from "AllAboutTheAcessories.com" and there was no invoice/receipt, no installation instructions. I'm not even sure that I got the MacClear accessory case or the MacClear zip iPod case. All together $30 wasted.
I don't even think I'm going to send it back. Throw it all in a drawer and forget about it. Save your money and get an iPod Armor case! :mad:

the exo3 asphalt is black

it may appear to be 'brown' in the thin areas that cover the touch wheel and buttons, but this is only due to the white of the iPod seen through the exo3.

i agree that the case is too loose at times, is difficult to get on and off of the iPod, and it attracts a lot of dust and lint.

dust and lint are easily cleaned off using scotch tape or packaging tape

i, for one like the thinness of the exo3. i like to be able to fit the protected iPod into my jeans pocket.

seeing that the price is only 9.50+shipping, i think it's a good deal overall

I suppose you must have a different one, an earlier model or something because the one I hold here in my hand, with no iPod in it, is most clearly brown.
