Would this be possible?

I have a G2 iPod, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to "hack" the drivers, so to speak, so that I can use the G3 (or 2.0) software on my iPod. Don't say it wouldn't be that realistic, as I am on an Audigy Platinum running Audigy 2 drivers right now. I'm just wondering if anyone around here has the skill to do this, and how possible it would be. How much different is the hardware between the G2 and G3 iPods?

the software is way different.
it can be done... i mean, some guy is running Linux on the ipod.
it would just take soooooooooooo much freaking time, becaues apple is so closed with how they code stuff, most of it would be guess work!
