iSkin eVo Review!

Overall I like the case but if you have an exo2 then there is no point in buying this, unless you use an iTrip or NaviPod. :D

Nice little review there, I feel a little better about getting an exo2 recently. Can you post some pics of the plastic clip? I'm curious to see the new design compared to the metal clip. By the way, your link has an extra http in the url.

I have been talking to iSkin for the past 3 weeks, and they told me they had a product almost ready and asked me to review it, so they sent it to me even before they were released. :D . I will post a few pictures soon.

I am very satisfied with mine. I dont see there being a issue with the clip personally...I mean if you are moshing or something, then, maybe its weak, but for my level of activity, which isn't exactly sedantary despite my ancient 42 years ;) , its fine.

Couldnt be happier. Also, only a day of use and the lint attraction is signifivcantly less than it was last night....think it was just "new " silicon that was more attractive to the dust. A little oil from handling today, and its not dusty.

I have a 40gb, chose the vamp..purple, glows LT blue. The new screen protector seats nicely and scratchlessly

Plastic clip...YUK! I like the stainless steel clip of the Exo2.

Is it functionally better or an upgrade from the Exo2? No. Just cheaper to make and market.

Exo2 is still the best case going, IMHO. Thick enough to afford some drop protection, hard screen protection and an indexable, fully removeable metal clip.

I just bought an Artic. Diden't want to be too flashy with these new neon like colors. I also like the white it is part of the reason i bought the ipod WHITE EARPHONES Shiney back.

I'd say that would be a definate no. Seeing as Lajo's eXo3 barely squeezes into the apple ipod case.

I am very happy with my eVo..no lint issues now, fits snuggly and securely, looks great, screen protector is fab, and I prefer NO button cover, so suits me nicely

Is the eVo devoid of the stupid "lanyard loop" on the side? I found that to be a nuisance.

Just got mine today. I went with Ghost, and I don't think it looks bad in person at all. I haven't really done much to test the clip, but after putting the whole in thing in my pocket a few times, I haven't noticed a huge problem with lint.

I like the way the case feels, and am satisfied with the screen protector. I'm also glad the case doesn't cover the buttons.

Here are some pics I just took under black light to get the "glo" to show up (available light just wasn't cutting it).

I can post more pics if there are specific things people are looking for.

Could you post some pictures of the "thinner" silicone at the top? There's no pictures at iSkin.com, so I'm curious what it looks like.

The top is definitely thinner. Unfortunately, I don't have one of the new iTrips to test it. But here's a pic. Hope it helps.

Once again, re-confirming my pleasure and satisfaction with my eVo.

One criticism tho; The clip. I have a iTrip and have been sticking my iTrip playin iPod to my visor while in car , as best reception there for me...and of course that is a Larger thing for the clip to wrap, larger than say, a belt, like it is really designed for though, but anyway, it's memory is a little wider than I would like. However, since not clipping to the visor any more, it has returned to normal tightness after a few days.

Anyways, back to ripping more cd's into mp3's ;)

Has anyone used a lanyard on the belt clip. Summer is commin up and many of the shorts I wear don't have pockets and don't think could support the weight of the ipod on the belt. the lanyard looks like a good idea but i'm scared that it would fall. Any help would be appreceiated. thanks:D

i just got my new 15gb ipod yesterday and have noticed that it already is slightly scratched all around. so i did a little research and went out and bought the iskin evo. as i expected, it fits snuggly all around with the holes in the right places. but before putting it on, the clip had to go. it is so flimsy and i suspect the plastic disc that it's attached to would end up scratching the back of my ipod. but overall, the evo should provide enough protection from minor mishaps. plus, the arctic color that i got is just really a slightly cloudy clear material that let's you see the white of the ipod. i'd recommend it but the $30 price tag is too high. one other thing... my battery died after only 2 hours of play on a full charge. again, i got my ipod yesterday. wtf?

its probably a defective unit, i got mine, put on 35 songs on the first day and played music for over 5 hrs on fulll charge. get a rma or call apple :)
