Just Ordered an iSkin Evo

They just released it a few days ago, I'm hoping it isn't as crappy as the Exo2, and I'll post a review in a few days.

Anyone else tried one of these yet?

Got mine yesterday!

I am quite happy with it...seems to be what they advertised. Of course, will take on the road today and let ya know, but so far, Im stoked. Got the vamp - purple case, glows blue. :)

I actually received mine today, and I must say that the new screen protector is great. No scratches as it doesn't touch the screen at all. I also like the firewire cover and the iTrip capability.

I'd say that it was a great purchase, but I'm not going to dance around about an iPod case :D .

10 days of use and the clip of my iSkin Evo broke.
My new 15GB iPod fell to the ground, which is NOT a good thing, but it doesn't seem to be broken. Damn you iSkin!

Sounds like the clips are NOT up to it. Mine also broke after just a few days, sending my iPod falling to the ground. It wasn't scratched [from the fall], but when I made it naked to check it over it had EXTREMELY DEEP scratches all over the back from the back of the sodding clip. Needless to say, I was NOT a happy chappy.

Worse than that, the hard disk was incredibly noisy and very sluggish. Because the 'pod was only 28 days old, I took it back to the store and got a refund. I received my shiny new one yesterday and it's not going anywhere near the iSkin (yet!).

iSkin were very good about it to start with and asked for digital photos which I provided and offered to send me a new one straight away (I asked for an orange one). Since then, a week ago, I've heard absolutely nothing. They seem to be completely ignoring emails etc.

The moral of the story is that the clips are a bag of CRAP, do not trust them. Of course this is just my experience !! :p

I'm ordering an eVo, but I'm NEVER going to use the clip. One, I don't like clips. Two, the clip scratches. Three, the clip is unstable.

I have an Exo2. Great case! PDA stuff *all* over the entire pod. Back, front and LCD. Stainless STEEL clip on Exo2s-nice...why did they downgrade to a cheezy plastic POS on Evos?

Make sure to cover the plastic disc on the belt clip of the EVO. The plastic disc WILL scratch the back of your IPOD. I found out too late but now I covered it will felt it works ok!
