Thanks for the help. It seems the case isn't very popular on here... can anyone tell me why no one is answering.

I'm having trouble getting some answers/observation on a couple of my own case/sleeve questions. Slow part of the forum I guess.

Never used to be slow, everyone's too obsessed with skin style cases.

I believe the problem with the Radtech product is that the vinyl window causes major scratching on the iPod window due to the method of stiching and the rough edges inside of the case. Also due to the extremely "tight fit" that it has.

I bought one in December for my 40GB iPod. The material is like a thick chamois or thin suede.

Pros: Thin, light, full coverage (except top edge), FW cable plugs in fine.
Cons: Limited protection against dents, cannot use dock, no belt clip.
Pro & Con #1: Helps reduce controls sensitivity, but a little too much.
Pro & Con #2: Grabbyness of material prevents slipping out of pocket, but hard to get in and out of pocket. Less grabby (and easier to keep clean) than silicone skins.
Pro & Con #3: Tight fit makes a nice package, but means it?s best to leave it on and not take it off.

At the MacWorld expo I told the RadTech guy that I was thinking of turning it inside out because I didn?t like the way the window clung to the iPod window creating pools. He said that one thing I could try is a little talcum powder. I tried a little on a Q-Tip and it worked.

After three months of use, I took it off and noticed one 1/4? faint scratch on the far right-hand side in the white plastic. It may be that the threads around the window did that but you?d think there would be more if that were so. The RadTech guy said that they were scrupulous in using thread that would not scratch. I don?t see where the statement above about ?major scratching? is justified, unless you are taking it on and off a lot and not being careful about it. Anyway, you can always turn it inside out, use it that way, and avoid the problem altogether -- a little less stylish perhaps.

All in all, I was pretty happy with it, but I might try something else. The iSkin eVo's hard plastic elevated screen protector with the soft corner mounts sounds appealing.

I just sold my 40GB iPod and got a mini, so it's mini cases for me from here on out.
