From my understanding it is not compatible...at least not yet. Maybe the 2G mini will have that option.

Wow... It took 7 replies to get an answer! Lol!
Anyway... Definitive answer / Confirmation:
The iPod mini does *NOT* support:
1) Griffin iTalk
2) Belkin Voice Recorder
3) Belkin Microphone Adaptor
4) Belkin Media Reader
All 4 of the above options require special software components that were intentionally omitted from the iPod mini firmware... likely to serve as a selling point for the larger iPod.

Very dissapionting to find the iTalk and it's relatives don't ork on the mini. Despite some very poor webpage layout by Apple.
So very dissapointed.
It was my primary interest... sorry guys, I'm just not a massive music fan. :(
