i would choose the option, "their ok" cause i do like them for the compactness like kevmc said, but the ipod ones have no bass, but they do look good, but the quallity is just not there

I would choose "sometimes" if it were an option. They work ok for some things but not all the time use

Bah... You can't generalize yes/no on this question.
I hate the $20 POS earbuds you buy at Target (and even the iPod buds), but wait till you get E2s, E3s, or E5s in your ears... You'll vote "Hell yes!" GOOD earbuds are 100% pure "aural" pleasure.

yeah well earbuds are great like azdude said if you have good ones.
If you are looking for REALLY GOOD earbuds, go for the Shure's new earbuds only $500 HAHAHA!

I find regular earbuds (not canalphones) to be terribly uncomfortable.

I guess I'm one of a kind. I like earbuds, and I like the Apple earbuds. I've never been one to be able to pick up differences in sounds from different headphones, and trust me, I've tried many different kinds. I love how convenient the earbuds are, they are small, I can wear them at all times, and I can put them away in something very small. To me, when I'm listening to a song I like, I'm hearing the song, the music, not the technicalities of the bass and pitch, etc.

my ears are small and so I can't use the ones that came with, and the 'good' ones are all wicked expensive for me right now.
I love my Ety 4Ps...Better than most unamped headphones out there for the ipod. Portable. Fantastic isolation. Comfortable (for me at least). What's not to like?:D

If you think the Apple earbuds sound good, try the $20 Sennheiser MX500. Relatively cheap, with killer sound. OK, maybe don't look quite as cool as white ones, but you will forget once you hear them.
I tried the $10 Phillips HE215 too. Forget about them. UGH!
