I have not had good luck on getting ear buds that fit me recently. I want good sound, but most important has got to be comfort and price. (Maximum $30.) My current pair is a Phillips (don't know model, but the one stocked at Target) and I hate them. If they don't start hurting my ears in a half hour, it's because they have fallen out and are daggling by their cord. The apples were mediocre in size. They weren't as uncomfortable or as prone to falling out as the Phillips, but they did do both. (Also, they fell apart too easily or I'm too rough... could be both.)

I do already have a pear of in-canal phones that I like, but I don't like using them every day because I want to let ambient noise through. (When walking my dogs, I want to know if another dog or kid is coming up behind us, preferrably before the dogs do.)

I have had a pair that I loved (said dogs decided it looked like lunch one day.) It came with my Rio mp3 CD player. Quality wasn't awesome, but the fit was, so I have hope. I know there are ear buds out there that are comfortable.

I did do a search and looked through the last 30 days of posts, because I figured this has probably been discussed to death, but I didn't much luck in finding recs. If this is a tiresome subject, I would really appreciate a link to a topic where this has already been hashed out.

I tried finding out as well for some smaller buds and no dice for me either.

Ditto, here. Small ears and can't use in-ears because I have to hear the phone and people creeping up behind me at work.

Mods-could you help us out? Is there a thread that specifically addresses the SIZE issue? I've tried all the boolean combos I can think of, and no luck with searching.

check out audiocubes.com. there are some new aiwas on the site. they are not buds, but in-ear, however, i would doubt (having small ears myself) that they cut out external sounds enough to pose a danger to dogwalkers. otherwise, for small ears, there's the at cm7, but they are are not inexpensive (i love the sound, though).
