Thought someone here might have some advice..

I have a Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter (model 4045) for my iPhone 3GS. Works and charges OK. However, I bought it, as it is supposed to go into "international mode" (easter egg) where it can broadcast at 87.9

Mine does not! Behavior is different than what others have reported. My Griffin logo does not move. It merely goes from what on black to black on white in color. I can hold down buttons for a long time---nothing.

Is there a new trick to activating the easter egg. Or, is it now disabled?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

I was right, and I was wrong. Yes, the way to get to International Mode is different than it used to be. I have a newer model (purchased Summer '09 for use with my iPhone 3GS), and Griffin has clearly changes things, possibly as a result of FCC regulations.

Anyway, you CAN still get International Mode: Press the middle button and get to where you see the Griffin logo. Now, press and hold the button on the right; then (keep pressing!) also press the button on the far left. Now, press the middle button. You should hold all three buttons down. Keep holding for 10-20 seconds. You will then get a menu. Press the button corresponding to "EU" (EU will be highlighted). Wait a few seconds and the device will automatically return to the main screen.
