Last year I bought the IDA X100 to use with my 6th gen 80GB Ipod Classic. Aside from the occasional freezing up, it has worked fine until now.

A few weeks ago it stopped detecting the ipod and says "No USB device" at startup. If I unplug the Ipod and plug it back in, it searches and finds it. Sometimes I would have to unplug it and plug it back in twice for this to work. I tried my friend's Ipod classic and my Ipod nano and have the same problem.

I tried resetting the head unit, and it still does the same thing. Once the car has been turned off for more than a few minutes, it only finds the Ipod after I unplug it and plug it back in. I've updated my classic and nano to the latest update, and no luck. I didn't do anything that I think could have caused it like updating or anything. One day it was fine, the next day this started.

After buying a knock-off adapter that didn't work at all, I bought the Alpine USB cable and the dock adapter that comes with it (I think it's the KCU440I) from two different stores and both have the exact same results. Works fine once I unplug it and plug it back in, but never detects it at first.

Any ideas? I like the head unit, but this is driving my crazy!
