hello,

I to am the proud owner of an ipod however i do not own a mac, which in some cases can lead to the frustration of not finding the alias appz that you need to use the product.

Now that I have found almost everything I was looking for, i wondered if the itunes script for irc clients (mac) are also available for windows, and if possible, for mIRC.

? now what do i mean with an mIRC script, you know those annoying scripts that allow you to post a song in mIRC with a single keystroke, thats what i mean :). (/me is listening to: (artist)bogdan raczinski - (track)kimi wa tsumannai, boku wo iran)

If not, are there hobbyists among us who think its worth to try and write such a script for the windows users.

Many thanks for tolerating my post :)

(in short: "Is there an mIRC/iTunes script for windows ?" ; if not: "Is there anyone willing to create it ?")

I agree
It would be something really useful.

As a second option, is there someone who knows how to extract those song informations from itunes when it's running ? that way I might be able to write a script myself/let someone else write it (preferably the latter ;) )

Some have gotten this to work, (scroll down). I haven't.

If anyone can "recode" that to something that works with 4.5, I'd be happy. :D

I've been using this script & dll over the last few days, but something is getting screwed up to where the plugin is writing messed up data to the txt file in front of the artist field, for example:

8\The Smashing Pumpkins
?~?f?\Our Lady Peace
`j=Britney Spears

I don't know what's wrong. Besides this it works well. I had to alter the script provided to get it to work though.

Well here goes! It's the first release of this app. Simply extract it somewhere and run the exe.

You can customise the output of the songs from it to mIRC and you can specify a list of channels it outputs to.

I'm always open to suggestions for new features etc, but I am a hobbyist so I don't always get a lot of time to work on stuff like this.

Please let me know of any bugs etc.

EDIT: I've only test this on the most current version 4.6. I don't know if it'll work on earlier versions...
