I've read a lot of negative feedback about this version, but it's my favorite version of the shuffle so far due to the size. It's great for running though.
Is anyone else happy with their shuffle?

I love the new Shuffle for the Playlist capability. However, I don't like being limited to the inferior Apple headphones. I use my 2G Shuffle a lot more just so I can use my Ultimate Ears and Bose headphones.

For the $79 asking price, they should have included a headphone adapter.
Sorry, not spending another $30 for an MP3 player that took $13.20~ to make.

hi this is work with ipod shuffle 3g ?
because i need headphones adapter with controller & work with ipod shuffle 3g
see this link :

it's sad that it needs Apple earphones to work, because so far there hasn't been any 3rd-party earphones that has a controller to work with the Shuffle. Once you break the original earphone, you gonna need to burn your pocket to get a new one.

Just a quick post to let you know that there are now several options for 3g Shuffle owners that will allow you to use 3rd party headphones or connect your Shuffle to a car or home stereo.
Check out Scosche's website for further information:

I'm using the IRM35 tapLINE control adapter with a pair of Shure SE102's and the Shuffle sounds superb.
Hope this helps.:p

I don't mind the need to use Apple's own earphones (as I also own a pair of the remote equipped in-ear ones too)-I find controlling the 3rd gen easy.
