Well it's happened again, I returned my iPod Touch to apple for repair in April, I then had it iPod touch replaced by apple about a month ago because it fell over again - please see previous posts. All was working well again until this morning - I had one or two issues and now it won't restore.
It falls over and I get error (6) and now it won't turn on - I've taken it back to the retail outlet I bought it from who are sending it back to Apple tomorrow.
I'm beginning to really hate both the product and the outlet, which is a shame as it is damn sexy (the product that is, not the shop) and I'm back onto my reliable Creative Zen, which although not as good is reliable.
Has anyone else had this many issues?

I've got to ask, is "falls over" an english saying that means "breaks down" or "stops working" or do you mean it just physically falls down?

Just curious. I've had mine for quite a while and had no trouble at all. I love, love, love the thing.

Uh, yeah: what the heck does "falls over" mean?? I hold the touch in my hand, I put it down flat , screen side up, on a desk or table. I ' m not understanding your description of this series of failed devices from falling over. . Please amplify if you want help or suggestions.

Hello all,
Sorry for not replying sooner, I've been away on business.

"falls over" is indeed a colloquialism for breaking down, not working, failing etc - Please rest assured that I'm not trying to balance it on anything. I dare say that there are a lot of American phrases that I would find confusing as well.

I think that I may have found the problem though, I'm using zone alarm as my firewall alongside the firewall on my router. It'll sync apps and podcasts fine, but music? forget about it. I kept getting the "disk cannot be read or written to" error, it would then just stop working completely.
After some research, on here and on the Apple forums, it would appear that zone alarm is the issue.
I've been successful so far in disabling zone alarm and syncing the iPod touch, which has been replaced by Apple, to my library - I have not had the guts to try a restore though, mainly due to the fact that it doesn't need it.

Cheers,

Noel
