Does anyone have a pair of these or know if their worth the money.

I had them. I thought they were pretty nice - sound was similar to Shure E2. Kept my E2 and gave these away because of the battery/amp thing. Very comfortable.

What ones would you recommend the SOny's or the Shure e2c's.

I chose the E2s. I thought that Sonys sounded pretty decent - pretty comparable to E2s. The main advantage of E2s was that they did not require any batteries. Also, they completely blocked all external sound, whereas Sonys will let some frequency range to come through. I really wanted to block all sounds with my phones since I use them primarily when I fly. Pricewise, I think Sonys are a bit more (~$15 more than E2s if you look around). I had to get different ear tips for E2s to make them comfortable, however.

I have the Sony NCR'.s I would not use them for my everyday phones but they serve a purpose. Air Travel! I couldn't fly without them because I take a lot of long flights and listen to my iPod for twelve hours straight.

I use them on the plane and sometimes when I mow the lawn.

They provide good sealing but the noise cancelling circuity really helps on the plane.
