Okay - so I got my great iPhone. Now, I would like emails to come through.

I have a Comcast.net account. I did some research and found that they do not have TRUE Push.

The conclussion that I came up with is, that I am going to have to find a FREE TRUE PUSH ACCOUNT somewhere, and have all my emails be forwarded on to it, so I can get my emails instantly.

Is this the best way of doing this? And if so, can someone reccommend a splace that has true free push? I thought Yahoo! offered it, but I looked it over and it seems as though I'd have to pay $20 a year for it.

If anyone could let me know their experiences, that'd be nice.

Thank you,

I am trying MobileMe at the moment and Yahoo.

The MobileMe push lags behind Yahoo so far. The Yahoo account does not have to be the PLUS version at $20, I am just using a free account.

All good so far. Will keep trying MobileMe but at £59 here in the UK I will have to become seriously impressed when Yahoo does PUSH for free (as long as you log into your account once every 4 months so they don't delete it)

Thank you for your info about yahoo, and how to retain the a/c without getting it deleted. But mostly all said Yahoo pushes mails for money, and you are the only one who told that it's free.

Make it two. I've been using my free Yahoo! mail account on my iPhone. Its push feature works flawlessly. There's been a couple of occasions where it broke, but I'm talking about a day or two out of more than a year.

I've been happy with MobileMe and it's push to date. Never had any lag to speak of. I can send myself and e-mail from another account and it takes on average of 8 seconds for my phone to get the e-mail, that seem pretty good to me.
