Serious buzzing in earpiece after 3.0 update

Hi all, since the 3.0 update I can't make a call without hearing a serious GSM type buzz in the iPhone 3G earpiece. I am not near any electronics when this happens and it appears as though the phone's own radios are the culprit.

Apple gave me the rundown on how the iPhone has heavy GSM interference when around other electronics, but that's NOT what this is.

Anyone else have any issues like this after 3.0 or was it just bad timing on my phones part?

I did'nt have this issue. I have both 3G and 3GS and find no difference between the two as far as earpiece voice quality is concerned. Both are running OS3.0.
