I just ditched my Storm for the iPhone 3GS and the only thing the Storm did better out of the box is it let me play the speakerphone through my car's AUX input via the headphone jack.

Is there an easy way to do this with the iPhone? I have searched, but am not seeing any easy solutions, but maybe I am looking in the wrong places.

btw, the iPhone is 100x better than the Storm. I'm glad I had the oppty to try the Storm for 30 days as I was on the fence initially because I'd heard so many love/hate stories, etc. But, and I know I'm preaching to the choir here, there is absolutely no comparison between BB Storm and iPhone, iPhone is in its own league.

Looking forward to ideas about speakerphone through AUX solutions.

TIA

John

The only way I can see doing this is to modify the iphone headset. Some in china has probly already done this and is working on a cable.

I was experimenting with this, and I'm not to sure what to make of this
When I'm using headphones, the phone rings through the headphones, and the caller does as well.
When I'm hooked up via the 3.5mm jack on my deck, (which to the iPhone it shouldn't be any different) the ringtone does NOT go through the speakers, but the call still does.
I left it off speakerphone, since apparently they could hear me just fine (and I wasn't informed of an echo with 2 the test calls)

My 3G (not 3Gs) sometimes plays the ring and caller through the cars speakers (when hooked up via the AUX jack) and sometimes doesn't. Haven't had many calls while driving since upgrading to 3.0 so maybe something changed.

I really don't understand that either, you'd think it'd act like you're using headphones, putting all sound to the headphones (or speakers in this case) and ignore the iPhone's speaker.

I'm just going to buy a bluetooth speakerphone and be done with it, I don't like screaming at the small microphone on the iPhone

anyone have any experience with that Belkin Tune direct that supposedly pumps the audio through your stereo AUX?
