Iphone freeze Need Help

i downloaded something called activatemms from cydia. i had to reboot after i downloaded and when it rebooted it went to the apple screen and always freezes there. it doesnt go beyond that screen. i tried to plug it into a computer and that didnt help either.

does anyone know of a button combination i can do to unfreeze. ive already tried to hold the hold button and hold button + home button. i really need your help to unfreeze the phone from the apple screen

You may need to restore from DFU mode.

One of the reasons why 3G freezes and becomes laggy is because the available memory is low. You can install SBSettings from the Cydia store and turn on the memory status on your taskbar to verify this point. Many applications pose great challenge to memory. Some examples that come to mine are the Category and Cydia itself.

In order to improve performance and prevent program termination esecpailly for program such as categoty, you should first do a force quit on unwanted programs which are still running in the background, such as iPod, Safari, and do a memory cleaning (with a program such as Memory Tool from Cydia before you launch those memory hungry program.

3GS has lots of memory so this is no longer an issue. It still helps however, to clean up the memory with memory tool, if you do not like rebooting it once in a while to recover those memory space.
