Recently I have purchased an iPhone 3GS. I had been using a 2nd gen. iPod Touch for quite a while now. When I heard about P2P capabilities in OS3.0, I upgraded my iPod to that operating system.

I have yet to be able to pair my iPhone with my iPod for P2P gaming. Neither device shows up when searching for blue tooth devices. My bluetooth receiver for telephone calls works fine with my iPhone and it has no problem detecting it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Or are the iPod and iPhone not capable of being paired together for P2P gaming? Any assistance with this issue is greatly appreciated.

I believe the 2 are capable but the game in question has to be designed to initiate the pairing. Not sure if any games are out there yet that do this.

As long as they are both on 3.0 they are capable but the game has to support it. One that I know of is Flight Control. There is an option to host a game or join a game. There are limited apps that work over P2P yet but you will start seeing a lot of them soon.
