I upgraded from a 2G iPhone to the 3GS when it came out, and I've been blown away by how much faster the new phone is, both in processing and download speeds, whether opening and closing apps, surfing the web, whatever.
However, the actual iPod portion of the 3GS is much, much slower to respond to button presses. Opening the iPod is a little slower, but when playing music, it's incredibly slow when pressing, say, fast forward, taking as much as 5 seconds to switch to the next song, and even longer to then switch to the next song's title and album art. Just about any movement I make inside of the iPod app seems very slow.
Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help this? I've turned the phone off and on, and I've got a fair chunk of memory (several GB) open. Thanks for whatever suggestions anyone can provide.
