i have received picture messages through gmail. but for some reason i cant receive a picture message (MMS)on my iphone.i have updated to 3.0 which should let me send and receive picture messages. is there a setting that i might have turned off or is there something im doing wrong? does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Where are you located? If you're in the US, AT&T hasn't yet activated this feature.
