Right, it this is my second go at this question but here we go.
What im desperate to know is, why speed test download speeds differ so greatly from ACTUAL download speeds when downloading say movies and or music.
My speed tests (xtreme speedtest from the app store) say on average im getting between 900-11,20kbps on my 3g service and 7,000-12,000kbps on wifi. BUT downloading the music or movies im maxing out at 88 or so kbps on my 3g service and 230 exactly on wifi!
Can anyone at all give me a possible reason for these amazing differences? Or maybe give me a fix to able to speed up both actual 3g and wifi download speeds to match my speed test results?
Thanks.

Speedtest just shows your connection speed, but downloading depends on the servers upload speed.
Just because you have a 20mps Internet line doesn't mean you'll download at 20mps, highest servers I typically see is 1.5-2 mps, like Apple

Just my connection speed? Well thats pretty crappy. But on the speed tests it says "downloading" and "uploading" ??? Then whats the point of a speed test man?!

To know what it's capable of. Just because it can download at 20mps doesn't mean the servers are uploading at 20mps.

You can't download things from a server that isn't uploading
This isn't the case of just the iPhone, it's a fact with anything internet related.

The SpeedTest.Net app tests your current average download and upload speeds, so results will vary. It does not display connection speed. I am getting between 800 and 1,000 Kbps on 3G.
