Photos don't display

I tried looking for the information on the forum, but couldn't find any. May be the problem I am having is a unique one to the ipod touch.

The problem I have is the photos on my ipod touch. When I browse them, I can see them in the icon mode, but as soon as I click slide show or view them individually by swiping them across, I get a blank screen. The puzzling thing is some of the photos do display in full screen, but most don't.

Any advice is appreciated. I have some important photos on this ipod which I would like to transfer onto my iMac.'

Quick question before going further, have you tried resetting the iPod touch (holding sleep & home for 10 seconds).
I ask because this usually solves most problems, and it sounds like you could have something like a memory leak and a reset should fix it.

I tried the resetting it by pressing home and sleep key at the same time and holding it for 10 sec, but unfortunately it didn't work.
