Trasfering music/videos from iPod Video to iPod Touch

My sister is getting an iPod Touch for her b-day. Her current iPod, A 5th Gen iPod Video needs to be replaced badly. Anyways she wants all of her stuff that's on her iPod Video now to go on her new iPod Touch. How do I do this? Any help would be great!

You need to use iTunes. I assume there is no copy of the media on a computer in iTunes. You will need to recover all the files off the iPod getting them back into iTunes to sync them to the new touch. Keep in mind an iPod is not a good place to keep your only copy of your media files. They can easily be lost if the iPod needs to be restored to fix an issue it may have. If there is not enough room on the computer get an external drive, keep a copy on both and or burn some backup CD/DVDs.
