Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, but here goes...
I have owned Sennheiser MX500, PX100, Shure E2C in the past, and currently have a pair of Shure E3C. I like the E3C, although the sound can often be a little "unexciting", although they make for a very comfortable listen. In addition, the sound isolation is superb.
Sadly, the wires seem to be working loose, making the sound often crackly, and they are well out of warranty, so I'm looking for a new pair of phones. I've narrowed down the choice to either the Sennheiser CX300ii (about £30 on Amazon), or Shure SE210 (about £65-70), but now I'm stumped. I've read consistently good reviews of the Sennheisers, while reviews of the Shures vary from superb to disappointing. I can afford either, but these two seem like the best value in their respective price brackets.
I'm looking for good sound isolation, wide soundstage, exciting sound (although not with excessive bass), and something durable, as I've had issues withphone durability in the past.
So, which should I get? All opinions much appreciated...
Thanks
EDIT: I forgot to add, I prefer foam sleeves to silicone, just for the feel and comfort of them.
