ok just got ipod, i have a pc with a firewall will it charge?

hi, i have been thinking that all pc owners need to get the firewall/ 2.0usb lead. inorder to transfer and charge at the same time. but will my pc charge and transfer through my firewall on my pc's motherboard???

if by "firewall" you mean "firewire", and you have a firewire card...then yes...you're ipod will charge and sync through your computer without the purchase of an additional cable.

well my motherboard has both firewire ports 4 and 6. so do you think it must come with a firewire card?

well Sherlock, if you havn't installed a firewire card, but it has firewire ports....then i conclude it came with firewire on the motherboard!!

Some MoBos do have onboard firewire. You can check it by poening your case and see if it's a card or not. Just use the 6-pin so you can charge while connected.

WOT WOT. Anyways, Yea you have FIREWIRE. Already installed and therefore dont need the AC converter, but i highly suggest it.

Connecting through USB will snc it, but WILL NOT CHARGE it. Only firewire does this simultaneously. Unles you get the usb/firewire "Y" cable.
