I have been an eReader client for 3+ years. I have enjoyed reading my purchased eBooks on several platforms, the most recent being iPod. I find it easy to read in most lighting conditions, even in the outdoors; watch which way you angle the device though, it hurts to get the sun reflected :).

I recently went to purchase a title on eReader.com and discovered their title prices have jumped significantly. The title I was considering was listed for $25, more than I've paid in the past for any title. More expensive than a hard copy! That is when I noticed in the upper right hand corner of the web page: A Barnes & Noble Company.

There goes the neighborhood!

Let's hope that's not a trend! I'm also worried about Amazon's take over of Lexcycle and Stanza. Will they fold the Kindle reader app into Stanza, and keep *direct* access to Project Gutenberg and other free ebooks, or will they abandon it as an effort to eliminate the competition?

Here's hoping that Apple finally gets its ebook act together!
