I'm not sure what's happening. My push e-mail seems no longer to work. It's been spotty at the best of times in the past, but now it's just stopped. The only way to get e-mail is to go to the mail program and request a check of e-mail. Then it downloads.
I used Yahoo! (which should support Push).
My wife also has an iPhone and uses push, and it seems to work okay (not great, but pretty well).
Any help??
