Itouch Not playing Music

I went on my itouch the other day ago. I clicked the music app and it brought me to a white screen. I sat there waiting hoping the music would come on soon but it did not. The screen stayed white then it brought me back to the home page. I tried this again and again and i could not get to the music. Does anyone know whats happening with my itouch? Or how to get the music back?

Reset your iPod by holding the home & sleep button for 10 seconds until the screen flashes white and the Apple logo appears. This should refresh the memory and fix the problem.
If this does not work, I'd suggest doing a simple sync to iTunes and making sure everything appears to be there before attempting the next step of a restore.

Another thing to try is to launch the Video application first. Once the list of videos come up, close the Video app and open Music. I have similar symptoms and have to do this a lot, usually right after I auto-sync. Resetting or restoring doesn't help my situation. For me it seems to be tied to the number of smart playlists I have -- the more inter-related playlists that I auto-sync to, the more likely this is to occur. But opening Video first fixes it every time ... weird.
