I've been trying to find an app that can take the data from iTunes and store the music information (like the name, album, maybe artwork, etc) without the music file itself.

I have a lot of music (which most of us do) and when I go to a CD shop (hmmm... our iTunes store doesn't sell music :(), I'd like to be able to load the app and check if I have that album/track.

Does anyone know of an app like this?

Thanks.

Desmond

If you leave your computer on all the time, you could try Simplify Media (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=284941327&mt=8) (iTunes). Its purpose is to let you listen to your music library on your phone, but you could certainly use it to browse your library to see what you have.

You could also export your music from iTunes (right click on Music, export song list)

Take the text file, and create a spreadsheet. Sort it how you want, then email it to yourself, use Discover (free) and upload it for viewing, or get another app that allows viewing/editing of spreadsheets.
