Hey, does anyone know what the new features will be on the new iphone coming out in June? Is it worth waiting for or should I just get the current iPhone 3G right now? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for that but i think that is the new 3.0 software which I know will have a crap load of new features. I was refering to the new rumored iphone that is coming out this June.

Pretty much guaranteed: 3.2 MP camera with video recording and auto-focus
Voice control
Matte black finish
Battery improvements, 32GB model
Might be thinner
Dual speakers are possible, better quality is guaranteed either way
Faster processor
In other words, yes, it is. That first one alone is.

The real question is will it be worth spending the extra money to early upgrade to it, only thing that could convince me is nearly the same price as buying a new iPhone with a new contract (like $300 for the 32gb) so I can give mine to my mom or brother. Otherwise I'll just keep this 3G for another year.

The real question is:

Will a new phone even be released or is this all just a bunch of crap from the fanboys?

I think it's pretty obvious we're getting a new iPhone this year. Way too many hints not to, and if we don't Apple will a)be falling short of other phones' standards, and b) be messing with their own regularity. I personally would be very surprised if we don't see a new iPhone at WWDC or when Jobs gets back.

If the iPhone wasn't launched, after all this press, there better be something insane going on like factory failures.
Short of that, I still want to know if it's worth buying, can anyone clairify what AT&T did for the 3G launch?
I know it was $200 or $300 for the iPhone 3G with a new plan, but there was a special window they had open for iPhone 1G owners, which provided some sort of discount, along with the same data plan they had at the time (the texting and such). What were the iPhone 1G users paying to upgrade to a 3G?

Would be a feat of marvel engineering to have auto focus on such a thin device, but if anybody can do it...

I don't think so, now on the iPod touch I could question that
