View Full Version : what speakers work with otterbox defender case?
hey guys, ive been searching for a dock/speakers for the iphone. i have the otterbox case so i know it wont fit 90% of them. thanks for any help

The Griffin Amplifi has a very large well that should accept most cases.

You could buy this and use any universal dock speaker system, http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/dockextender/
It comes with universal dock adapter for the dock extender with a nice frame in the back to keep the iPhone from falling back. You put the adapter in, then the extender in the adapter, and you should be able to fit the Otterbox through it, but don't quote me.

I have that dock extender and the Otter Box defender case and I can tell you that it will not fit. You will need to trim both sides of the extender to get it to fit. If you want, I can post pics so you can see where I trimmed it.

sorry for bringing up this older thread, but could you please post some pics on how you trimmed the extender?
i supposed to get one this weekend and would love to use it with my several dockingstations and audio systems
