Hi guys! This is my first post here, though lurking for a while.

I am in need of a new pair of earphones for my ipod. The original ones basically fell apart in my ear a couple of weeks ago. I am looking for recommendations in the range of 20-50. I prefer earbuds and something that will work for working out. Other than that, I do not have many preferences, though a crisp sound is encouraged.

Any suggestions would be well received. Thanks so much!

go to Amazon

www.Amazon.com I use all the time for reviews and buying decisions - I've recently bought Sony & Panasonic buds based on Amazon.com reviews & btw some pref for the cheaper Panasonics

I have gone that route and read varied reviews as well. I wanted to get a sense of other people's experiences. I was about ready to purchase the Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 170 but a friend mentioned that they were too expensive...so now I am not sure whether they are worth the price or if there are some comparable options already out there that might be cheaper. I guess at this point I am just looking for suggestions and experiences. :-) Thanks for yours!

I want to get a pair of UE Metro 170vi if I knew if the mic supports Skype on the iPod Touch or not... and where to buy them too.

Any earphones with an in-line mic that were made for the iPhone will work equally well with the second-generation iPod touch, so there's no reason this shouldn't include Skype, since the in-line mic is the only way to get audio into the iPod touch.

Note, however, that the first-generation iPod touch does not officially support any audio input capabilities. There are reports of some Dock-Connector based accessories that can be made to work with the 1G iPod touch, but there's definitely no audio input in the headphone port.
