USB got washed, ugh!

Hey guys. I washed my USB cord today, does anyone know if it will be safe to use with my iPhone? I don't want to mess up my phone. Any help will be helpful.

I'd let it dry an hour, make sure the iPod end doesn't have a droplet of water in it

if you stick it in a bowl or bag of rice, the rice will absorb the water. just dont eat the rice afterward.:D
