A new feature has now been enabled in the Classifieds forum requiring you to categorize any new threads by specifying a prefix indicating what type of classified ad you are posting. The prefixes can be selected from a drop-down menu beside the thread title when creating a new thread, and are as follows:

FS: Item for Sale
FT: Item for Trade
WTB: Want to Buy
WTT: Want to Trade

As the name implies, the thread prefixes will appear before the thread title, and will be color-coded as shown above. This should help to distinguish between the different types of classified ads.

Further, you can filter to show only threads with a specific prefix in the sorting options at the bottom of the Classifieds forum listing.

Can I suggest that WTS for 'Want to Sell' would be a better match in most cases.

Great idea, this should speed up searching for stuff.

I had considered that, but I went with what people were already generally using. Most of the threads were already using FS as a prefix rather than "WTS:" so it made more sense to leave it that way.

Plus it does have the advantage that the distinction between people offering items (FS/FT) and people requesting items (WTB/WTT) is a bit clearer this way.
