Hello,

I've recently setup a AUX in my Mazda 3... And it works great with my old iPod 5 Gen and many other mp3/mp4 players.
But for some weird reason it doesn't work with my iPhone 2G.

It seems like the iPhone detects the entered jacket, and sometimes, for a second or two, I can hear the music through the car's speakers, but then it stops playing (pauses), as if I removed the jacket :(
When I press play again, it plays through the iPhone speakers.

Have anyone seen something like that before?

Thank you.

Try another cable, Jack.

Try another cable, Jack.

It doesn't make any sense, the jacket works with every other player... It matches the iPhone perfectly... Could it be some weird defense from stereo systems, because regular headphones work with that iPhone.

You have an iphone 2g? By "jacket" do you mean the mini-jack for the headphones? If so, then you should be aware that it is a well known issue that the headphone jack is not accommodating for all headphones because of the recessed nature of the plug. Maybe your plug is BARELY in there, and gets knocked out easily. You can either shave it down or try a new jack.

Actually I have shaved it (to the bone :)), just like i did with the headphones, but while the headphones now work great, the AUX gives me hell. It seems like it's more of an AUX vs. iPhone issue.
