Star ratings no longer appear in iTunes?

I've searched high and low for an answer to this with no luck. I rate my songs in order to filter out ones I don't want anymore -- so when I encounter a bad song, I rate it one star.

Every once in a while, I'll delete all one-star rated songs off my iPhone. But lately, my star ratings are not appearing in iTunes. No matter what I try, or what settings I change. Additionally, smart playlists do not auto-populate in iTunes, though they work fine on the iPhone itself.

Anyone have any ideas no how to make the star ratings appear in iTunes again? :shake: :shake:

I think I figured out how to resolve this (shortly after I posted here). I created a playlist for all one-star songs, right clicked the smart playlist, and synced just that playlist. The songs populated, and I was able to delete them.
