I used to have a pair of Shure E3's before they were stolen at my old job. I have to say, I did like them a lot but I dont want to spend another $150 to replace them.

I have been looking at the Sony EX71's, but wanted bugs with multiple tips like the E3's had.

I would like tight bass, but doesnt need to be boomy. Crisp and accurate mids and highs would be great. I would prefer not to spend more than $100. I mostly listen to Rock and Alternative. Recommendations? Thanks!

the ex71's come with multiple tips - all rubber.

i think you will notice a sound quality dip coming from the shures, but ymmv. for around $100 you can get the shure se110's, which are basically like the e2c as far as i can tell. they're supposed to be a step up but i couldn't really tell a difference.

i'm sure others can provide some more recommendations.
