Where is the iPod database stored?

I've rebuilt my PC on a new hard-drive, installed iTunes 4.2 and moved my songs across from my old hard-drive. Gutted to find out that the ratings and # times played doesn't come with the songs. I thought iTunes stored them within the tag somehow, but obviously not.

So, there must be an iTunes database on my old hard-drive with all those ratings in there. Does anyone know what the database file is called, and if moving the database to the new hard-drive will restore my ratings. If not, what else can I try?
