The short version:
Check out Simplify's website here: http://www.simplifymedia.com/index.html
The Long Version (with a bit of a review):
Would you like access to limitless music and I’m not talking about on line radio, Last FM or preview tracks either.
Imagine being able to connect to each of your friends music collection from your PC as if you had their CD or MP3 collection at home with you.
Well, stop imagining and start doing! – Allow me to introduce “Simplify (http://www.simplifymedia.com/)” to you.
Requirements:
iTunes or Winamp
Simplify client
Internet connectionIf you already use iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/)or Winamp (http://www.winamp.com/player) (and have set up your media library) you’re almost ready, already – just download the Simplify client from their website: http://www.simplifymedia.com/download.html (http://www.simplifymedia.com/download.html) and follow the instructions.
If you don't have iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/)or Winamp (http://www.winamp.com/player), get them from the links I just gave (I recommend iTunes) and after you’ve set up your media library, get Simplify.
It works by inviting people to share your media library. In doing so you have access to theirs as well directly through iTunes or Winamp and you can have up to 30 friends on your list.
I currently have 35,000 tracks in my collection, now here’s a bit maths for you…
Imagine you have 30 friends, each with 35,000 tracks in their media collection and suppose each track is 5 minutes long – That’s a lot of music! (87,500 hours of music to be exact) or if you prefer to break it down more, that’s nearly 10 YEARS! of consecutive music if you played it all.
If you have an iPhone, you can also download the Simplify client (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=284941327&mt=8) to that and have access to this music on your iPhone, (no need to carry such a small collection of music with you anymore since you have access to everything you have)!
How much does this cost?? I hear you say… well it’s FREE! So what are you waiting for?
Please feel free to add me as a friend on Simplify, my screen name is: Durrson :-)
